In 2007... I'm thankful

For the new place which my family moved to in July.

For a very lovely newborn in our family this year - my 2nd nephew.

To know what love is.

For all my friends & buddies, especially my good friends.

For my parents, who are well & healthy.

I have a clean bill of health.

I have perfect vision now (after lasik).

To fulfill a dream, to run the 10km race in Singapore Standard Chartered marathon.

To be in a great church.

That I have a job - even though it's not the best one.

I have Jesus in my life.

Golden Compass

Controversial movie for the Christians/Catholics. I enjoy it as a fantasy movie, the story interests me, the visuals are cool, and overall production it's just good. But I do not agree with the beliefs behind it, that man, instead of having a soul within, he has a "demon" which lives on the outside. My take is the same as for Harry Potter - I watch it as an entertainment/fantasy movie, but I'll not bring little kids to these movies. My spiritual beliefs are not changed by watching movies. I still believe in bringing up the young ones in the ways of the Lord :)

Exhilarating experience

I never expect to be able to complete a 10km run in my life before. My first time. It's an amazing, exhilarating experience! One which I'll remember for life. I enjoy the whole run, always looking out for every kilometre marker along the way. And oh, the wonders of running along Robinsons Road (Singapore's financial district), it's so cool. Then of course, when I cross the finishing line, that's the coolest moment of it all! :)

Proud to be a part of this race! ;)

Running clinic

I ran a 7km on thursday evening, training for the Standard Chartered run on 2 Dec. Boy it was great! I was totally exhausted & hungry after the run. Felt good after that. Yesterday felt alright too, no signs of aching. But this morning, felt pains in my arms & legs. What is this.. delayed reaction?? But I'm sure I'm normal.. 8) but well, I just decided not to run today & rest for 2 more days.

I hope to make it successfully for the run, complete the course. Looking forward to the wonderful experience of running a 10km race.

rest in peace

Dear Kelvin, it is very painful to see you go. It is still difficult to accept that you've already left us. If only there were more occasions in the past where I can get to know you better. A lot of other "if-onlys" but nothing can change what has already happened. We remember you, we miss you & we're reminded of you in one way or another. You left footprints in our lives which no one can replace. Memories which we cherish in our hearts. May you be in a better place now. I believe we will see each other again one day with our loved ones. I believe in my God of salvation.

Rest in peace, my dear cousin. We'll always remember you. We love you.

FM 96.3

Are you guys aware of this channel FM 96.3 by MediaCorp? It is called The International Channel. I don't know when on earth did this channel started. I was just channel-hunting on my handphone one fine day & I came to FM 96.3. And it was playing the song "Say Yes" but in music only. This channel is all instrumental music, either Japanese, French or German, and it's really nice. I love it! It's a different flavor from Symphony 92.4. Definitely. I must be so ignorant not to know about the existence of this channel until now. Haha.. 8-)

Gathering

Today is fantastic! I have a gathering with my college school-mates at my place. First-time attempt to play host after I moved in to the new place.. hehee. Glad it's a success! All those who RSVP-ed turn up except one who is not feeling well. But we also have a surprise guest, a school-mate who hasn't showed up for quite some time. We didn't know he got the message from one of my friends. And he shows up! Haha. All of us have a good time catching up. They are my dear friends for many years even though we don't meet often now. Look forward to another gathering soon...
