Thankful..

Today is a wonderful day. It is Singapre's National Day!!! For me I have a great day as well but the "wonders" began from last night actually, as some of my friends celebrated my birthday for me in advance, oh.. they bought me a bouquet of flowers too :) To top it off, yesterday I tendered my resignation from this job which I'm in for a few months (5 months to be exact). As to why I leave after such a short time is another story by itself... But God is so good as to bless me with a very good offer from another company, which surpasses what I could ever dream of. Suffice to say I'll be leaving the pharmaceutical industry which I'm in now & going back to the IT industry which I once belong for 8.5 years.

I didn't sleep much last night but I have a really good time today. Went karaoke singing with my best friend in the morning. It was a good deal - we sang for 3 hours but spent less than 8 bucks per person! Lunch followed by coffee in the Chinatown area. The weather was nice, it was a good lazy afternoon to relax. And we went shopping after that... for diamonds! :) My friend was very excited over a particular diamond ring so we stop by the jewellery shop to find out more. Then after really much thought, we decided it was a good buy because the design was great & the quality was excellent. Great experience for me & I'm tempted to buy one for myself also. I reached home in time to watch the fireworks of the National Day Parade on TV. They were simply magnificent.

So, it's a simple, relaxed day for me & I enjoy every moment of it. Everything seems so beautiful. Feelings of thanksgiving just arise in my heart. I'm thankful that I live in a safe country, thankful that I'm healthy, thankful that I have money to go shopping, thankful that I have a job, thankful that I have time to spend with friends & loved ones. This is truly what life is all about!
